Julian Ybarra grew up in the labyrinthine suburbs in the outskirts of Houston, Texas which instilled in him a discerning palate for both barbecue and alternative country music. After graduating high school, he decided to continue his education at Pacific Union College in the Napa Valley although not before making a pitstop in Argentina for a year to learn the language. He graduated in 2019 with degrees in Film and Television Production and Spanish, and in the process made a few short films of which he is immensely proud. 

His natural habitat is reading Icelandic Viking Sagas, enjoying podcasts about the history of China, and watching “Gilmore Girls” with his girlfriend.
